Shannon Muhs, MS, RDN, CD, LD, LDN, LN, LMNT Shannon is licensed to practice medical nutrition therapy in multiple states. She has been a registered dietitian nutritionist in the Omaha metro area since 1997. She obtained her master’s degree, bachelor’s degree and dietetic internship from University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Shannon is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has extensive outpatient nutrition counseling experience, especially for those with GI issues, trying to lose weight and change behavior, eating disorders, diabetes and pre-diabetes, kidney disease. Her work experience includes Boys Town National Research Hospital, Hy-Vee (a Midwest supermarket retail store), diabetes center, eating disorder center. She has received advanced training in wellness coaching, adult weight management and the low FODMAP diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She is a member of Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine and works to stay aware of nutrition/diet trends and scientific research through continuing education and training.
