Kimberly Leaf Braly, RDN
Kim is a private practice dietitian who specializes in pediatric and adult inflammatory bowel diseases. She brings 12 years of experience working with families and individuals living with IBD. She is the co-founder of EATS for IBD™ (eatsforibd.com) - a first of its kind, evidence-informed nutrition platform that supports those with IBD and their families with nourishing recipes, meal planning support, culinary resources such as cooking demos, guides, and a caring community. Prior to private practice, Kim specialized as an IBD dietitian at Seattle Children’s Hospital, working with an incredible multidisciplinary team that grew their IBD center. During this time she also provided medical nutrition therapy to patients with various gastrointestinal (GI) conditions such as food allergies, short bowel syndrome, complex motility disorders and other chronic diseases. Kim loves to empower people with IBD to work through their food fears and bring clarity and individualized application to the rapidly evolving science of nutrition in IBD. She is a “How to IBD dietitian” who is passionate about mentoring dietitian colleagues and consulting organizations to build transformative IBD nutrition programs which expand their offerings to better support their patients. She collaborates with other care centers such as Seattle Children’s Hospital, ImproveCareNow Network, Ochsner Health, UPENN Perelman School of Medicine, and Cedars-Sinai through research, program development and mentorship.
