Nutrition security programs for millions of Americans are being threatened.

If Congress passes current budget proposals, access to school meals, food assistance and vital nutrition and public health programs could be drastically reduced at a time when families need them most. At this moment, we have no visibility into new investments, initiatives or programs to help us reach our shared goal of improving the health of Americans.

The Academy feels compelled to stand up and defend these programs. On June 13, we sent a letter to all members of Congress, signed by 20 organizations, urging immediate protection of food and nutrition programs.

Now is the time to make our voices heard. Will you stand with us?
