House Passes a "Farm Only" Farm Bill

The House of Representatives has passed a Farm Bill that excludes the nutrition title, which funds critical food assistance and nutrition education programs, such as SNAP, SNAP-Ed, Farmers Market Nutrition Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, TEFAP and CSFP. Thousands of Academy members lead these programs that benefit millions of Americans.

2014 Senate Appropriations Bill Fully Funds Senior Meal, Diabetes Prevention Programs

The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved a measure that would fully fund Senior Meal Programs, the Diabetes Prevention Program and evidence-based public health interventions for fiscal year 2014.
