Promoting RDNs Far and Wide, and in Times Square!
In celebration of Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day — and in thanks of all you do to improve the nutritional health of Americans and people around the world — the Academy hosts a special contest to feature a member in New York's Times Square. This contest is all about YOU — our members.
HOW TO ENTER:
Send an email with the subject line "RDN Day" to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the following information:
- Your name and Academy member number
- A short response (100 words or less) to the question, "How does your work help to solve the greatest food and nutrition challenges now and in the future?"
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
WHO CAN ENTER: This Contest is open to all registered dietitians and registered dietitian nutritionists who are current members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Employees of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, their subsidiaries and affiliated companies and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising or promotional agencies, members of their immediate families and persons with whom any of the foregoing are domiciled are not eligible to participate in this Contest.
CONTEST PROMOTER: This Contest is being promoted by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest starts on January 21, 2019 and ends on February 8, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. PST (the "Close Date"). The period in which the contest is open to entrants are referred to as the "Contest Period".
HOW TO ENTER: All current Academy members of legal age in their jurisdiction who send an email with the subject line "RDN Day" to the email address email@example.com and include their name, member number and a short response (100 words or less) to the question, "How does your work help to solve the greatest food and nutrition challenges now and in the future?" are automatically eligible for this Contest.
The Academy is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, illegible, stolen, misdirected, misidentified or incomplete posts or contributions, for any problems or technical or mechanical malfunction of any telephone systems, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any posts or contributions to be received by the Contest Administrator on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by equipment, programming used in this Contest, human processing or otherwise, or any combination thereof.
SELECTION OF WINNERS: One (1) winner will be selected at the discretion of the Academy once the contest has closed.
PRIZES: One (1) prize in the form of a feature on a Times Square banner and an announcement in the Eat Right Weekly electronic newsletter will be awarded to the one (1) winner selected by the Academy among all eligible participants.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Selected participant will be notified by email, mail or phone within 48 hours of the decision.
By participating in this Contest, each participant agrees to release and hold the Contest Administrator, their subsidiaries and affiliated companies and each their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. Contest participants also understand that by entering this Contest, their name, credentials and short response to the question "How does your work help to solve the greatest food and nutrition challenges now and in the future?” may be used by the Academy in future promotions on its social media pages, websites and other digital media properties.
This Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
