March is National Nutrition Month, when the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics reminds everyone to return to the basics of healthy eating. It is also the time of year when the Academy celebrates expertise of registered dietitian nutritionists as the food and nutrition experts.
Promoting RDNs Far and Wide, and in Times Square!
In celebration of Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day — and in thanks of all you do to improve the nutritional health of Americans and people around the world — the Academy hosts a special contest to feature a member in Times Square, New York City. This contest is all about YOU — our members.
HOW TO ENTER:
Send an email with the subject line "RDN Day" to [email protected]. Please include the following information:
- Your name and Academy member number
- A short response (100 words or less) to the question, "Why is it important to be an advocate for advancing the nutritional status of your community?"
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
WHO CAN ENTER: This Contest is open to all registered dietitians and registered dietitian nutritionists that are current members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Employees of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, their subsidiaries and affiliated companies and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising or promotional agencies, members of their immediate families and persons with whom any of the foregoing are domiciled are not eligible to participate in this Contest.
CONTEST PROMOTER: This Contest is being promoted by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest starts on January 30, 2017 and ends on February 17, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. PST (the "Close Date"). The period in which the contest is open to entrants are referred to as the "Contest Period".
HOW TO ENTER: All current Academy members of legal age in their jurisdiction who send us an email with the word "RDN Day" in the subject line to the email address [email protected] with their name, member number and a short response (100 words or less) to the question, "Why is it important to be an advocate for advancing the nutritional status of your community?" submissions are automatically eligible for this Contest.
The Academy is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, illegible, stolen, misdirected, misidentified or incomplete posts or contributions, for any problems or technical or mechanical malfunction of any telephone systems, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any posts or contributions to be received by the Contest Administrator on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by equipment, programming used in this Contest, human processing or otherwise, or any combination thereof.
SELECTION OF WINNERS: One (1) winner will be selected at the discretion of the Academy once the contest has closed.
PRIZES: One (1) prize in the form of a feature on a Times Square banner and an announcement in the Eat Right Weekly electronic newsletter will be awarded to the one (1) winner selected by the Academy among all eligible participants.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Selected participant(s) will be notified by email, mail or phone within 48 hours of the decision.
By participating in this Contest, each participant agrees to release and hold the Contest Administrator, their subsidiaries and affiliated companies and each their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
This Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
