National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. NNM also promotes the Academy and its members to the public and the media as the most valuable and credible source of timely, scientifically based food and nutrition information.

RDN Day Contest

Promoting RDNs far and wide, and in Times Square!

In celebration of Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day (formerly Registered Dietitian Day) and in thanks of all you do to improve the nutritional health of Americans and people around the world, the Academy is hosting a special contest to feature a member in Times Square, NYC. This contest is all about YOU – our members.

Entrants will be asked to share: "What's the best way to bite into a healthy lifestyle?"

To enter, send an email to with the word "RDN Day Contest" in the subject line, and in the body of the email include your:

  1. Name, Credentials and Address
  2. Member Number
  3. A short response (100 words or less) to the question: "What's the best way to bite into a healthy lifestyle?"

That's it! So easy, right?

One winner will be selected for the exclusive opportunity to be featured (including a photo) in the Times Square banner in New York City, and also in our member newsletter Eat Right Weekly.

The contest officially begins on January 19, 2015, and will run until February 20, 2015. One submission per person will be entered into the contest. One very lucky winner will be announced on or around March 11, 2015, in honor of RDN Day.
