Academy Leaders Talk the Talk with Elected Officials

Making a contribution to the Academy's political action committee ANDPAC is one of the best ways to show support for the Academy’s public policy efforts. Another great way: Meet with your Senator or Representative courtesy of ANDPAC. Some of the Academy’s leaders recently did just that.

President Dr. Glenna McCollum, MPH, RDN, spent a casual afternoon with her Arizona Senator Jeff Flake. Elise Smith, MA, RD, LD, Board of Directors member and speaker-elect of the House of Delegates, had dinner with Senator Thad Cochran in Jackson, Miss. Nicole Fox, RD, LMNT, CNSC, a member of the Academy’s Legislative and Public Policy Committee. Toni Kuehneman, RD, joined Rep. Lee Terry’s (Neb.) "Coffee Club."
