Estate Gift Benefits the Foundation

The Foundation has received a bequest of more than $500,000 from the estate of Martha Snavely, who died in June 2013 at age 96. Ms. Snavely was a member of the Academy, first joining in 1939, and a past donor to the Foundation. As designated in her estate, a named fund will be established to support public education activities of the Foundation and will help advance the Foundation’s work through programs like Kids Eat Right.

Read more about the remarkable and generous Martha Snavely.

Being part of the I WILL Legacy Society ensures the Foundation has continued support for achieving its mission of advancing public health and nutrition utilizing the expertise of registered dietitian nutritionists. Remember to include the Foundation in your estate planning. Estate gifts of all sizes are greatly appreciated. For more information about the Legacy Society, contact Susie Burns at 800/877-1600, ext. 4752 or sburns@eatright.org.
