Apply for Diversity Action Award

The Diversity Action Award, administered by the Diversity Committee, is presented to an affiliate, dietetic practice group, member interest group, accredited dietetic education program or other Academy unit that implements activities to improve the recruitment and retention of racial and ethnic minorities in the dietetics profession. The recipient receives a $1,000 honorarium in support of the program and its ongoing activities. The deadline to submit an application is April 2.

The 2013 Diversity Action Award recipient was the San Diego WIC Dietetic Internship, directed by Brenda Reynosa, MBA, RD. The internship is focused on the growing need for multicultural, multilingual registered dietitian nutritionists, and works to provide opportunities for diverse students seeking an internship.
