Rep. Green Meets with ANDPAC at FNCE

More than 100 Academy members gathered Tuesday, October 22, to hear U.S. Rep. Gene Green (Texas) speak at the Academy's Political Action Committee’s annual Power Breakfast at the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo. As an avid supporter of improving health care quality and access, Rep. Green gave the audience a unique, nutrition-focused policy perspective.

The annual ANDPAC Power Breakfast is an intimate event where nutrition policy-minded Academy members are updated on ANDPAC activities and congressional happenings pertaining to health and dietetics. Rep. Green had a lot to say after the recent government shutdown, speaking about the impact of the recent events on the future of Congress and our health care system. Academy members were thrilled to hear an insider’s perspective on the activity on Capitol Hill and how it could affect the nutrition and dietetics profession.
