Academy Member Accepted into Prestigious Health Policy Fellowship

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has accepted an Academy member into its Health Policy Fellowship program. Nadine Braunstein, PhD, RD, will bring her expertise in nutrition and health to Capitol Hill and the Executive Branch. During her experience in Washington, D.C., she will become well versed in health policy at the federal level.

Braunstein will gain front-line experience in federal health policy-making and become part of the program's 40-year legacy as the most prestigious learning experience at the nexus of health science, policy and politics.

Braunstein was chosen through a competitive selection process and will join five other exceptional health professionals for a one-year fellowship in the nation's capital. During her time she will actively participate in health policy processes at the federal level and gain exclusive, hands-on policy experience.

The Academy proudly congratulates Braunstein on her upcoming position and eagerly waits to learn more about her policy experiences. The Academy actively supports all members to be involved in health policy to effect positive change and optimize the nation's health through food and nutrition.
