Diversity Leaders Selected

The Diversity Committee is honored to announce the new Diversity Leaders who will begin their two-year program at the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo. This is the fifth year of the leadership program, and 20 Diversity Leaders from 13 different states have participated.

Diversity Leaders gain knowledge about the Academy's strategic programs and activities as well as experiencing new leadership challenges during the program.

The new Diversity Leaders are:

  • Gloria C. Bent, MS, RDN, CDN, senior public health nutritionist, North Bronx Health Care Network, New York City
  • Terry Lynn Brown, MBA, MPH, RD, LD, CNSC, food and nutrition services manager/dietetic internship director, Medical City Dallas Hospital, Dallas.
  • Tiffani L. Grant, MS, RD, LD, program director, healthy families movement, and adjunct professor, Tulane University
  • Jimin Yang, PhD, RD, assistant professor, University of South Florida Pediatrics Epidemiology Center.

The next application process will open in January 2014. Details will be announced in Eat Right Weekly.
