Oklahoma Tornado Disaster Assistance

Everyone affected by the recent tornado in Oklahoma is in the thoughts and prayers of the entire Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Members are encouraged to contribute to the Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund. And the Academy offers resources for consumers and health professionals - before, during and after a disaster.

Disaster Relief Fund

Following Hurricane Katrina, the Foundation and the Commission on Dietetic Registration established a fund to aid members in need of assistance. Members can apply for Disaster Relief Fund assistance by contacting Amy Donatell at adonatell@eatright.org or 312/899-4767.

To make a contribution, contact Linda Hudson at lhudson@eatright.org or 312/899-4773; or mail a check to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Chicago, IL, 60606-6995, and indicate "Disaster Relief" in the memo space.

Members may also donate online to the fund.

To make a contribution to disaster relief in Oklahoma, visit the American Red Cross.
