William Swan: Patient, Kind Preceptor

William Swan, RD, LDN, has been a preceptor for 10 years. Known for seeing each student as an individual, he is praised for being patient, kind and caring.

Students say Mr. Swan takes time to fully understand each intern's learning style and what types of activities motivate them to excel. He was one of the first certified nutrition managers in his area to embrace the Nutrition Care Process. His clinical skills in pediatrics, critical care and informatics are outstanding and he shares all that he knows with his interns.

A former student describes Mr. Swan's teaching style as challenging yet supportive. He is the known as a patient, kind and caring preceptor and mentor.

The Academy thanks William Swan for being a preceptor. Create tomorrow's leaders: Become a preceptor today.
