National Pressure Ulcer Conference

The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel invites Academy members to attend the 13th National Biennial Conference, February 22 to 23 in Houston, Texas.

The conference theme is "Deep Tissue Injury: The State of the Science." The conference has four objectives:

  1. Differentiate various types and severity of skin and deep tissue injuries (pressure ulcers, suspected deep tissue injury, diabetic foot ulcers)
  2. Devise plans of care for prevention of various types of skin and deep tissue injuries and concomitant complications
  3. Devise plans of care for treatment of various types of skin and deep tissue injuries and concomitant complications
  4. Examine new evidence in etiology, external manifestation and natural history of deep tissue injuries for potential application to clinical practice.
