CDC Leadership Position: Director of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has announced a position opening for the director of the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Under the director's leadership, the division "conducts programs and projects to achieve its mission of leading strategic public health efforts to prevent and control obesity, chronic disease, and other health conditions through regular physical activity and good nutrition."

Applications for the position, located in Atlanta, Ga., will be accepted until January 11, 2013. Requirements include knowledge of planning, organizing and overseeing scientific and management leadership; and the ability to provide national leadership in chronic disease prevention and health promotion.
