National Diabetes Month Is Approaching Fast

Gear up for National Diabetes Month in November.

Raise awareness in your community about the type 2 diabetes epidemic by using an interactive map to find the number of people affected by the disease in your state and the economic impact.

To defeat type 2 diabetes, the Academy strives to educate and motivate members of Congress to address this epidemic. As part of the Diabetes Advocacy Alliance, the Academy works with advocacy organizations, professional societies, trade associations and corporations to increase awareness and action on the diabetes epidemic among legislators and policymakers.

Read the Academy's official policy statement on the involvement of registered dietitians in diabetes care.
