Leftovers Safe? New Academy Tools and Quiz

September is National Food Safety Education Month, and new tools about leftover safety are available from the Home Food Safety program - a collaboration between the Academy and ConAgra Foods - to download and share with clients, colleagues, family and friends, as well as to share and post online.

Have you ever discovered long-forgotten leftovers or expired foods that are so long gone they can’t even be identified? Guess what some of these foods used to be with the What Was It? Quiz.

Not all foodborne pathogens can be recognized by sight, smell or taste alone. Download and share the new leftover safety tip sheet, and the free new "Is My Food Safe?" app for iPhone and Android devices.

Other tools for educators and Academy members are available in the Educators section of www.homefoodsafety.org.
