Americans Continue to Struggle with Adequate Food Access

Food security, defined as having access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food, eludes many Americans, especially children. The Academy continues to educate Members of Congress about nutrition programs that address food security, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and others included in the Farm Bill.
