Ethan Bergman and Torch

Photos and Video of President's Olympic Torch Run

Much of the population of Basingstoke, England, lined the city's streets July 11 to watch the 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, with Academy President Ethan A. Bergman, PhD, RD, CD, FADA, serving as one of the seven torchbearers. Photos and video of President Bergman's run on a beautiful sunny day in Southern England are available online.

A slideshow about President Bergman's run and the Olympic Torch has been posted to the Academy's website. Photos are available on the Academy's member and public Facebook pages.

Videos of President Bergman's run are on YouTube, including the end of his run and handing off the torch to 81-year-old local resident Margie Doherty. His participation in the relay was made possible by Academy Partner The Coca-Cola Company, through its Live Positively campaign.
