  • May 23: "From Theory to Practice: Optimizing Recognition and Documentation of Adult Malnutrition." The Academy and the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition released new recommendations in September 2011 for the identification and documentation of adult malnutrition. Widespread use of these criteria will help to standardize the diagnosis of adult malnutrition and provide more accurate estimates of its prevalence and incidence. This webinar will provide participants with knowledge and practical tools needed to design comprehensive, team-oriented systems for effective recognition and documentation of adult malnutrition.
  • June 21: "Eating Disorder Treatment: Innovative and Collaborative Approaches." Recent increases in the prevalence of disordered eating and concerning emerging trends have reshaped the type and form of interventions that are necessary for effective treatment. This webinar will review basic signs and symptoms of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and eating disorders not otherwise specified (EDNOS). Emerging trends recognized as diabulimia, drunkorexia, orthorexia and Desperate Housewives syndrome will also be discussed. Beyond effective screening, the design of an innovative and collaborative treatment team will be defined.
