Intercultural Cancer Council Information for Health Professionals

The Intercultural Cancer Council promotes policies, programs, partnerships and research to eliminate the unequal burden of cancer among racial and ethnic minorities and medically underserved populations in the United States and its associated territories.

The Council has developed a series of 10 fact sheets that provide information about cancer in medically underserved populations. Fact sheets on different racial and ethnic groups can be used as educational pieces by health-care professionals to raise awareness of disparities in cancer care in communities. The fact sheets are available for free on the Council's website. In addition, the Council has publications available related to cultural competence in cancer care.
