Academy Joins First Lady for Let's Move! Celebration

To commemorate the second anniversary of Let's Move!, First Lady Michelle Obama participated on Friday, February 10, in a town meeting in Homestead, Fla., sponsored by WebMD, featuring registered dietitians and aimed at providing simple tips for healthy families.

Mrs. Obama was joined by experts including Academy Board of Directors member Kathleen Zelman, MPH, RD, LD, who was publicly introduced as representing the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Academy member Elizabeth Ward, MS, RD, served as the event's moderator.
