Family Meal Planning and Prep Toolkit and Mini-Grants: Last Chance to Apply

Kids Eat Right is launching a new toolkit promoting healthy family behaviors, meal planning and preparation called "Family Champions. One Change at a Time."

The toolkit contains three hands-on cooking workshop presentations targeted to parents. It is available to all Kids Eat Right Campaign Volunteers. To support the toolkit's use, 30 mini-grants of $250 are available. Recipients of the grants must agree to give one 45-minute parent cooking workshop in their community between March 1 and April 30 using one of the three Family Champions presentation outlines. Application details. Applications are due February 3 and recipients will be announced February 13.

The "Family Champions. One Change at a Time." toolkit was made possible by an educational grant from General Mills. Members of the Academy's Food and Culinary Professionals and Nutrition Education for the Public dietetic practice groups participated in development of the toolkit.
