Deadline for Anecdotes Extended: As Centennial Approaches, Share Your Story

The Academy's centennial will be in 2017, but we're getting ready for it now. One of the Academy's current projects is an update of its history (Carry the Flame) from 1990 to the present.

Although we can track the major developments of the Association and how these may have influenced the profession, we'd like to hear your individual thoughts on the organization's exciting history since 1990, how you've seen it grow and by whom you've been mentored or influenced.

We'll review members' short anecdotes and recollections for the project and may also publish a choice few over the next few years in the Journal. Although we can't promise to use all of the stories, we will check with you before publishing and credit the story with your name, location and profession.

It's the individual stories and recollections that breathe meaning and color into efforts at capturing an organization's history and you have a chance to build on it. If you have a brief story, viewpoint or anecdote you'd like to share, send it by March 31 to history@eatright.org.
