CMS: Build on Momentum

The Academy reached our goal of 25,000 signatures petitioning the Obama Administration to urge the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to reconsider its ruling that excludes registered dietitians from direct billing for intensive behavioral counseling for obesity—and now we must keep up our momentum. To date, fewer than 2 percent of Academy members have taken action, and we need all members to be engaged in this vital issue.
