ADA Helps Make Food Day in Chicago a Success

For the national observance of Food Day on October 24, ADA and its members and staff highlighted the prevention of foodborne illness. ADA worked with STOP Foodborne Illness to celebrate Food Day in Chicago, inviting the public to spin the Food Safety Trivia Wheel at the base of the John Hancock Center.

Through the Home Food Safety program, ADA provided prizes including reusable grocery totes stuffed with tips on preventing foodborne, a Keep It Cool leftover safety kit and other educational materials. ADA highlighted Food Day in the October 24 Tip of the Day, in the news section on www.eatright.org, on the Home Food Safety website, Facebook and Twitter.
