Healthy Snacking Toolkit and Mini-Grants

The Kids Eat Right program launched a new toolkit promoting healthy snacks. The toolkit, available to all Kids Eat Right Campaign Volunteers, consists of ready-made presentations, activities and handouts for 10 different audiences.

To support the toolkit's use, 25 mini-grants of $200 are available for registered dietitians to give two presentations from the toolkit between January 1 and March 31, 2012.

More information and application details. Applications are due November 1.

The Healthy Snacking Toolkit was made available by an educational grant from The Western Pistachio Association. Members from ADA's Food and Culinary Professionals; Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition; and School Nutrition Services dietetic practice groups participated in the development of the toolkit.
