Functional Foods Webinar

Consumer interest in foods that provide health and wellness benefits – or functional foods – is growing and food and nutrition practitioners have been identified as critical to consumers' success in building healthful diets. A new webinar, planned with the International Food Information Council titled "A Place on the Plate for Functional Foods: Helping Consumers Achieve Optimal Health with Diet," will be held August 4.

The webinar will explore IFIC's latest findings to assist ADA members in helping consumers overcome barriers and bridge the knowledge-behavior gap. Registration is free for ADA members; limit 1,000 participants.

Speakers are Marianne Smith Edge, MS, RD, LD, FADA, past ADA president and senior vice president for nutrition and food safety at IFIC; and Elizabeth Rahavi, RD, associate director of health and wellness at IFIC.
