ADA Past-Presidents Speak at IFT Conference

Two past presidents of ADA spoke June 13 at the Institute of Food Technologists' 2011 Annual Meeting & Food Expo on effective ways to help consumers understand and apply the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

The IFT conference was held June 11 to 14 in New Orleans, La. ADA members Marianne Smith Edge, MS, RD, LD, FADA; and Jessie M. Pavlinac, MS, RD, CSR, LD, were two of the speakers at a session on "Translating the Dietary Guidelines for Americans to bring about real behavioral changes." They were joined by Roger Clemens, DrPH, CNS, FACN, FIFT, president-elect of IFT; and Eric Hentges, PhD, executive director of the International Life Sciences Institute – North America.
