ADA Comments on USDA Initiatives

ADA members and staff have been working together to draft comments regarding two recently publicized United States Department of Agriculture solicitations.

The first comment will support new suggested eligibility criteria and deductions rules for the Food and Nutrition Service's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for certain military and other families. The second comment supports the Food Safety and Inspection Service's food safety education campaign and offers suggestions for improving data collection. As ADA prepares comments, the organization works collaboratively with members, DPGs, workgroups and committees to develop ADA's position and identify pertinent evidence-based data to support it.

The USDA issuances can be found here and here, respectively.
