GMA Science Forum: Implementing Dietary Guidelines

Speakers at a Grocery Manufacturers Association forum on "Implementing the Dietary Guidelines: Industry's Role Beyond Reformulation" included several ADA members, who discussed how the food industry can serve as an active partner in the implementation of the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

ADA member speakers at the forum included Joy Dubost, PhD, RD, director of nutrition and healthy living at the National Restaurant Association; Joanne Guthrie, PhD, MPH, RD, nutritionist at the USDA Economic Research Service; Mary Pat Raimondi, MS, RD, vice president of strategic policy and partnerships at ADA; and Marianne Smith Edge, MS, RD, LD, FADA, senior vice president for nutrition and food safety at the International Food Information Council.
