Online Certificate of Training Program in Restaurant Menu Labeling

To prepare members in the emerging practice area of nutritional labeling for restaurant meals, ADA's Center for Professional Development offers a new certificate of training program.

The program consists of four modules that build on each other:

  • Module 1: Legislative Background, the Law and Emerging Trends
  • Module 2: Menu Analysis
  • Module 3: Working with Restaurants and Entrepreneurial Ventures for RDs
  • Module 4: Putting Restaurant Labeling Initiatives into Practice With Clients and Consumers.

To receive the certificate associated with this training, all four modules must be completed and participants must pass a final exam in Module 4 with an 80 percent score. The final post-test exam is online within the fourth module. ADA members enjoy a reduced rate of $19 for each module or may complete all four modules and earn eight hours of CPEUs for $76.

The course was developed by ADA's Restaurant Labeling Work Group in cooperation with the National Restaurant Association.
