Apply to Diversity Leaders Program

To advance ADA's strategic plan related to serving the needs of changing demographics of registered dietitians, ADA members in the Active membership category from underrepresented groups can apply for the Diversity Leaders Program.

The program has funded leadership experiences including ADA's Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo; public policy programs; and an educational visit to ADA headquarters.

Four Diversity Leaders are selected each year. A mentor is provided to guide and explain the Association's programs and services and to build supportive professional relationships throughout the year. At the end of the first year, the Diversity Leader will be asked to volunteer for a second year at the district, state, DPG, MIG or national level. Application deadline for the 2011-2012 program is June 6.
