Future of Food Conference Featured ADA Members ... and Prince Charles

Two ADA members delivered presentations at the May 4 Future of Food conference, held at Georgetown University, that featured many of the world's leading experts.

Speakers at the conference included representatives of food companies, academia and government to discuss trends in agriculture and consumer behavior that are shaping the future of food.

Two ADA members spoke: Cmdr. Heidi Michels Blanck, PhD, MS, Chief of the Obesity Prevention and Control Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and Susan J. Crockett, PhD, RD, FADA, Vice President and Senior Technology Officer for Health and Nutrition at General Mills.

The keynote speech was given by Great Britain's Prince Charles, who spoke on the importance of sustainable agriculture.
