West Virginia Secretary of State speaks at WVDA Meeting

On April 14, West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant spoke to the members of the West Virginia Dietetic Association about the importance of getting involved to influence policy and make a difference in preventive solutions for improving the health of the state's citizens.

WVDA strengthened its current and future connections with state government officials by inviting a high-level elected official to the annual meeting. Helen Lodge, MS, MA, RD, LD, Public Policy Coordinator, introduced Tennant by saying: "She eliminated excessive spending and made government more accessible to West Virginians. As a small business owner, Natalie knows the importance of ensuring that businesses in West Virginia thrive." Tennant is the Democratic candidate for governor of West Virginia.
