Kids Eat Right Update

ADA members are encouraged to continue promoting the Association and Foundation's Kids Eat Right campaign.

Sign up as a campaign volunteer and promote the public website.

Close to 1,400 members have signed up as KER Campaign Volunteers and enthusiasm keeps growing. In the three months after Kids Eat Right launched at FNCE, visitors to the KER website jumped by 500 percent and page views jumped from 37, 000 to almost 160,000! The program's Facebook page has more than 2,200 "likes" and the Kids Eat Right Twitter feed has more than 1,200 followers.

In development now for campaign volunteers is a Kids Eat Right healthy snacking toolkit that will include PowerPoint presentations with leader notes, handouts and activities. Members of the School Nutrition Services; Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition; and Food and Culinary Professionals DPGs are assisting in this project. Mini-grants for campaign volunteers will also be available, as will more toolkits and resources.
