Comment Period Still Open for Child Nutrition

With leaders in the School Nutrition Services, Hunger and Environmental Nutrition, Public Health/Community Nutrition and Dietitians in Pediatric Nutrition DPGs, ADA is finalizing its comments on proposed new school nutrition standards that are due April 13. Individuals are encouraged to submit comments as well.

The proposed new standards, released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, are a result of the passage of the Child Nutrition Act late last year. The new standards would help schools continue to make healthy improvements to meals reaching 32 million children every day.
