Upcoming: Second Partnership for Food Safety Education Summit

The second Partnership for Food Safety Education summit is planned for next week in Washington, D.C. As a PSFE board member, ADA hosted the first stakeholder summit in Chicago last month.

The Partnership for Food Safety Education is a not-for-profit organization that unites industry associations, professional societies in food science, nutrition and health, consumer groups and the U.S. government to educate the public about safe food handling.

The Partnership received a grant from the Food and Drug Administration to examine the impact of research-based food safety education messages with stakeholders including researchers, industry representatives and educators. From these summits, PSFE will develop multi-year strategies to create more effective consumer food safety education activities.
