State of Family Nutrition and Physical Activity Report Released

On Wednesday, January 19, ADA and its Foundation released The State of Family Nutrition and Physical Activity Report, which outlines the current realities of kids' and families' eating and activity behaviors in the U.S. and how they relate to the prevalence of obesity and malnourishment.

The report also outlines unique opportunities and strategies to improve the health of our nation's youth, and serves as a basis and call to action for the ADA/ADAF Kids Eat Right campaign.

Kids Eat Right is supported through an educational grant from the National Dairy Council. "This new report shows that parents and children respond positively to programs like Kids Eat Right, Fuel Up to Play 60 and other opportunities that help registered dietitians position themselves as a key resource to families and help them meet Dietary Guidelines recommendations," says ADA member and National Dairy Council President Jean Ragalie, RD.
