Fellowship Offers Opportunity to Affect Policy

Applications are being accepted for the 2011-2012 Health and Aging Policy Fellows Program, supported by the Atlantic Philanthropies. The goal is of this program is to create a cadre of leaders across multiple disciplines and career stages to improve the lives of older adults.

Core program components focus on health, aging and legislative issues and processes, career development, mentorship and professional enrichment. Previous fellows have been placed in the U.S. Senate Finance Committee; the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions; House Democratic Caucus; offices of individual Senators and Congresspersons; Department of Veterans Affairs; Department of Health and Human Services; Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; U.S. Department of Agriculture; and Department of Transportation.
