The Academy's 2012 Opening Session was the site of a special announcement by the Partnership for a Healthier America of a new health-care initiative that will affect registered dietitians, especially those who work in the hospital foodservice arena. The PHA Hospital Healthy Food Initiative will involve hospitals and systems in 24 states, representing 154 hospitals and serving more than 60 million meals per year.
