Academy Member Updates

NATO Summit: Headquarters Office to Be Closed May 18 and 21

Due to heightened concerns during the upcoming NATO summit in Chicago regarding the safety of the Academy's Headquarters staff, particularly related to travel to and from the downtown area, the Academy's Chicago office will be closed on Friday, May 18, and Monday, May 21. The Academy's Washington, D.C., office will be closed on Monday, May 21, and will be open on Friday, May 18. Normal operations in both offices will resume on Tuesday, May 22. Members who have questions on May 18 and 21 can e-mail and will receive a response immediately upon the Headquarters Team's return to the office. The Academy's website is available 24 hours a day to meet members' needs.

Academy Announces 2012 Awards and Honors

In recognition of outstanding service and contributions to the dietetics profession, 17 individuals and one program have been selected by the Honors Committee and Board of Directors to receive top Academy honors and awards. They will be presented in October during the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo in Philadelphia.
