ADA's 2011 FNCE drew approximately 9,000 attendees. At the Opening Session, President Sylvia A. Escott-Stump announced ADA would change its name to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. And she read a letter from First Lady Michelle Obama.

  • The Expo Hall offered hundreds of services and products to discover and sample. Opportunities for personal and professional networking were everywhere.
  • The Member Showcase featured the thought-provoking "Sweet Scrutiny: Debating the Research on Nutritive and Non-nutritive Sweeteners."
  • At the Closing Session, keynote speaker Jack Canfield shared his insights on achieving success while also creating a balanced, fulfilling and healthy life.

School Spirit Is a Winner for Students at FNCE

Students from Brigham Young University and Michigan State University who attended FNCE were invited to a private reception with ADA President Sylvia A. Escott-Stump, MA, RD, LDN, and their universities will receive a complete set of FNCE 2011 DVD-ROMs ($349 value). BYU and MSU were the winners of ADA's School Spirit contest for 2011. Each school registered more than 35 students for FNCE.
