Teleseminar: Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Chronic Diseases with Emphasis on Cancer (August 24)

Dietary omega-3 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that have anti-inflammatory properties. A number of studies have demonstrated that diets higher in omega-3 fatty acids can reduce the risk of chronic disease and several types of cancers, and may increase the sensitivity of cancer cells to chemotherapy and radiation treatment. This teleseminar will review fatty acid metabolism, and the role of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in the development and treatment of cancer and other chronic diseases.
