Journal Supplement on Restaurant Menu Labeling

Section 4205 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act mandated that restaurants and food vendors with more than 20 locations disclose calorie information and make other nutrient composition data available to consumers. This legislation has far-reaching implications for both public health and the field of dietetics. The May Journal of the American Dietetic Association reprint supplement "National Restaurant Menu Labeling Legislation: What it Means for Dietetics Practitioners" collects all the Journal's recent articles examining this important issue.
