PPW ... and Beyond
More than 450 members from all parts of the country took part in ADA's 2011 Public Policy Workshop, February 6 to 8, in Washington, D.C. Members concluded PPW by visiting their Congressmen and Senators on Capitol Hill. For members who could not make it to the nation's capitol, district congressional visits will take place across the country in March.
First Anniversary of Let's Move!
This week marks the first anniversary of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move! initiative. The campaign, whose goal is to end childhood obesity within a generation, is supported by ADA and the Kids Eat Right campaign.

Milestone: Kids Eat Right Volunteers
The Kids Eat Right campaign has topped the 1,000 volunteer mark - an impressive milestone since the initiative's launch at FNCE 2010 in Boston. This accomplishment is due to efforts of a large network of ADA members, DPGs, MIGs, affiliates and the Kids Eat Right RD Communicator and Vanguard networks. ADA and the Foundation are grateful for these members' dedication to the launch and continued success of Kids Eat Right. A complete listing of individuals and groups who were instrumental in the development of Kids Eat Right can be found in the recently released State of Family Nutrition and Physical Activity Report.
