I have written many times about the speed of change in health care
these days. It seems that every conversation
surrounding health IT has that “urgency” attached. There is one area where I sometimes have to
pinch myself, though. Is this real? A variety of “Challenges”
are now available which reward innovators with cash. I have spoken with nutrition professionals
who have developed their own “apps”, created a community program to improve
health, developed their own software for use by themselves and colleagues…the
list goes on.
I want to challenge NI Blog readers to find someone with
complementary skills and submit for one of these challenges posted on the Health 2.0 Developer
Challenge Website. As you can see,
there are eight (8) Challenges, all of which have cash prizes for innovation in
health care technology. Based upon
reports from previous awardees—it is fun, exhilarating, provides great exposure
to those in health IT and –in the cases of the Winners—includes cash prizes and
a chance to advance to further discussions with the leaders. I know you can do this—and will be watching
the winners closely!
