insurance. It is confusing, as the terms
are very similar. Health Information
Exchange is a component of the HITECH Act—it means just that—your health
information is exchanged with who needs to access it for treatment, payment or
operations.—including you! Many patients
likely already think that their data is being shared between the physicians
they see, when in fact having the right data at the right time for the right
patient is not always the case. The National
eHealth Collaborative is a public-private partnership that enables secure
exchange—to improve health care. A
